28 Weeks!!!

We are 28 weeks pregnant tomorrow!!! This is a huge celebration.
If the babies were born tomorrow or after they have a very high chance of being born with no long term affects. Tomorrow Joe and I will breathe easier. We have been walking on eggshells ever since the first negative pregnancy test so worried that the bottom would drop out any minute from under us. It has been the longest most emotional road I ever have been on in my life. I am so glad that it is almost over. We will be so eternally grateful to hold 3 healthy babies in our arms and have a healthy grandma after this. From the moment we created these babies I have prayed everyday at least 100 times for their health and the health of my mom. This process has definitely brought me closer to God.

Did I warn you that this may be a long one?????..

Joe & I have a huge favor to ask. We are in desperate need of an attorney. We found out yesterday that we need a pre birth order of parentage for the babies. It is something that has to be filed with the judge so that we can be declared legally the parents of the babies. Although we are, we still need this BEFORE the babies are born. If we don't have this it will cause all kinds of complications. Possibly we may not be able to make any decisions for the babies. We are hoping because of the amount of people now reading our updates that someone is an attorney or is related to one that would help us. We called well over 30 attorneys and the cheapest one was $2500. Joe and I spent all our savings plus more to be able to get to this point. We cannot afford to pay $2500. We just need an attorney to draw up the papers for us or at least give us the forms and I will do all the work. I would normally not ask for help or talk about this so openly but we are in such a need for this help. Please contact us if you know anyone willing to help.

So for the fun news...
We were thrown a shower last Sunday. We were so blessed by our friends and family. The girls are spoiled with so many wonderful things. Before the shower their closet was practically empty and now it is becoming full. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the day special for us. To all that came and celebrated with us. To all that sent gifts that couldn't be there. We hope you all know how loved you made us feel. Everyone will shortly be receiving personal thank yous in the mail as there are too many to name here.

We went to the doctors on Wednesday. We had a detailed ultrasound. The girls look perfect. We think they are beautiful. Ellie continues to be the leader and weighs 2lb. 3oz. Carmina & Gabriella weigh 1lb. 13oz. each. They told us that now is when we would start seeing a difference in weight or growth. They will be keeping a close eye on them. They share a placenta so we are being extra careful. Marti is our sonographer and we love her. We are thankful to her for taking the time to explain everything to us, for caring and making us feel so important. We feel like she has become family.
Mom continues to do well. She had allot of itching that was causing her to lose sleep and be exhausted. That is almost resolved. Her swelling is still there in her ankles, feet, and legs. She has contractions if she does anything too straining, sits too long or holds her bladder but they go away as soon as she rests. Dr. Kiwi said that if thus far is any indicator how the rest of the pregnancy goes she may last as long as 35 to 36 weeks to deliver. That we weren't expecting BUT we'll take it. The babies would only be there maybe a week at the hospital. We are very hopeful and excited that everything is going great and that tomorrow we are 28 weeks!!!! Our next doctors apt is Oct. 3rd.

Joe and I want to give a special thanks to The Doctors TV, Babystyle, Peg Perego, Think Baby, Dwell, Stokke, Pediped, Seventh Generation, and Boppy. They so thoughtfully supplied us with many great baby products. We couldn't possibly have bought these nice items x3 for each of the girls. They gave us everything we need to have an extra special start with the girls. They will be riding in style in their awesome triple stroller and super safe infant seats, be fashionably dressed, dry in their Eco friendly safe diapers after drinking from their pba free bottles and sleeping like babies in their oval cribs and beautiful bedding. They also will have their birth story recorded to watch as often as they want and know that a lady named Kathy Emmons was their guardian angel that went way above and beyond for them. Thank you to all these sponsors that generously provided for our daughters and their grandma. Our hearts are overflowing.
